Between the ages of 8 and 13, I was regularly, sexually abused by my older brother. At 13, an adult man was made my legal guardian. He would raise me and become the father of my two children. At his hands I would be groomed. Separated from loved ones. Tortured. It would last 12 years. I am a survivor! In June 2021, it will be 17 years since I found my freedom! For the past 17 years, I have been on a significant journey. I have discovered a love for psychology and a person’s capacity to renew their mind. I have also found the blessing of a tribe. I have a group of so many, beautiful people, who have loved me unconditionally, accepted me as I am and most importantly, come alongside me, to do life together.
